2018 Merlot, Picazo Vineyard
Our 2018 Merlot, from Picazo Vineyard is a deep red hue and opens with notes of luscious black cherry, blueberry, and cassis combined with a subtle hint of lavender and Italian spices. As the wine stays open, the dark berry fruits still take precedent, but the complexity of the wines shows through with black pepper, worn leather, cedar, and an aged cigar box aroma. On the palate this beautiful Cab lovers Merlot is reminiscent of chocolate raspberry truffles and blackberry pie.
