Guests are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets to create their own comfortable lounge experience on the lawn. Start your weekend at McGrail with movement, mobility, and a well-earned tasting of 3 wines!McGrail Vineyards is partnering with CrossFit 580 and Restore Body + Joint to bring the Livermore community together for a fun and approachable morning focused on fitness, recovery, and connection.

This complimentary wellness experience will begin with an energizing, coach-led CrossFit workout with the team from CrossFit 580. All movements can be modified, making the workout welcoming for a variety of fitness levels. Following the workout, Dr. Stuart Frith of Restore Body + Joint will lead a guided mobility session designed to improve movement, release tension, and support recovery. Afterward, slow down and enjoy a McGrail tasting of 3 wines while connecting with friends, neighbors, and fellow members of the Livermore community.

Join us for an intimate celebration honoring the wine that started it all and the loyal members who have been part of the McGrail story for more than a decade.

We are proud to unveil the 2023 McGrail Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve, the 18th vintage of our signature wine.

When McGrail Vineyards opened in 2008, Jim McGrail had one goal: to craft an exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon before producing anything else. Our inaugural release, the 2005 McGrail Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve, became the foundation of the winery and began a tradition we are honored to continue today.

During this special seated experience, guests will enjoy a guided tasting of four Cabernet Sauvignons, featuring a treasured library vintage alongside our newest Reserve release. Each tasting will be accompanied by a thoughtfully selected cheese pairing.

Choose from one of two limited-capacity sessions:

Session One: 12:00–2:00 PM
Session Two: 3:00–5:00 PM

Spend the afternoon taking in vineyard views, reconnecting with fellow longtime members, and raising a delicious glass of Cabernet to the members who have supported McGrail throughout the years.

Sip & Script | Modern Calligraphy for Beginners
Tuesday, September 15th 5:30-7:00 PM
Join us at McGrail Vineyards in Livermore, CA for pretty lettering! Whether you’re a stationery nerd, DIY Bride-to-be, or just a crafty individual, you’ll be introduced to modern calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink in this workshop. We will cover all the basics and prepare you to add those unique lettered details to your snail mail, wedding paper goods, home decor, and more! The perfect crafty night out! Tickets include 1.5 hours of instruction and demonstration, our beginner’s calligraphy kit (two nibs, black ink pot, 2 letter guides, tracing paper, and straight pen holder), and all materials to write on. Everything is yours to keep at the end of the workshop! Feel free to arrive a little early, settle into your spot, and enjoy award-winning McGrail wines, available for purchase throughout the class. Wine will be offered by the glass and bottle so you can sip and savor at your own pace during the experience. You’re also welcome to bring your own snacks. Class will begin promptly at 5:30 PM! Class Expectations: Yes, lefties are welcome too! This class is encouraged for someone who has never taken a calligraphy class before. We teach the basics, and our expectation for you is to have ink flowing through your nib with enough confidence to be able to practice way beyond class. We love using tracing paper with our guides to help you build muscle memory and develop your own style!  If you have tried calligraphy out before, this class will be a great refresher and hopefully a chance to try some new supplies from our beginner kit that will re-introduce you to this lovely form of art! $75 per person McGrail wines will be available for purchase by the glass and bottle at the event!

Cowboys & Cabernet is back for an unforgettable night of line dancing, live country music, & good ole’ fashioned fun. Start the night off with a line dancing lesson from CC Amato and team from 6–7PM, then two-step your way into a live country performance from 7–10PM. Don’t worry, we’ll take a break mid-way for another quick dance lesson so you can keep showing off those new moves!

Mahjong Night at McGrail

Join us in the Barrel Room at McGrail for a fun night of Mahjong, wine, and good company! All skill levels are welcome, from seasoned players to complete beginners. We’ll have someone to help answer questions for beginners, but this is a casual game night type atmosphere where everyone can learn together!

When the sun goes down, McGrail transforms.

Join us for Moonlit Masquerade, an elevated Halloween evening in the barrel room and heated tent featuring wine, live strings, dancing, dramatic masks and a little mystery overlooking the Livermore Valley.

Begin the evening with a welcome glass of McGrail wine as live strings set an enchanting scene. As darkness settles over the vineyard, the lights go down and DJ Michael Ramponi takes over for a night of dancing, party anthems and Halloween favorites.

Guests are encouraged to embrace the masquerade theme with elegant, mysterious or dramatic masks and elevated evening attire. Think velvet, black, jewel tones, sparkle, feathers and statement masks. Traditional Halloween costumes are welcome too, but the spirit of the night is distinctly masquerade.

Wander beneath the moonlight, capture photos throughout the vineyard and compete in our Masquerade Awards for Best Mask, Best Couple, Best Group and Best Overall Look.

Barrels and Bingo Game Night

Grab your friends and join us at McGrail for Bingo like you’ve never played before! It’s loud, lively, and a little wild! We’ll have music pumping, plenty of laughs, and of course award-winning wines flowing. Whether you’re a bingo pro or just in it for the fun, there’s something for everyone! 

Guests must be 21 years of age or older. 

Please note that when purchasing tickets for Bingo at McGrail, guests are limited to one bingo card per person. This allows for as many people as possible to join in on the fun! 

Tickets to this event include everything you need to play Bingo!

Join us for a joyful holiday weekend at McGrail Winery, where the spirit of the season comes alive with local vendors and of course, fantastic wine! This complimentary event invites you to stroll through our festive vendor pop-ups, offering unique gifts and holiday finds from talented local artisans.

As you shop, relax with a glass or bottle of McGrail wine – available for purchase to enjoy as you take in the lively atmosphere. Whether you’re in the mood for a cozy glass of wine or a fun afternoon out, this event has something for everyone! We will be collecting Toys for Tots collection, so bring a new toy & receive a bonus splash of wine!

Soleil Wood Fired Pizza will be on-site serving up delicious pizza, so you can grab a bite while enjoying the holiday cheer. Rain or shine, we’ll be celebrating, so layer up and get ready for a fun weekend in the vineyards!

This event is the perfect way to sip, shop, and get into the holiday spirit while supporting local businesses. Bring your friends, enjoy the wine, and make some holiday memories with us!

A Holiday Après-Ski Party at McGrail Vineyards

Escape to The Holiday Chalet at McGrail, a festive après-ski celebration inspired by a 1980s holiday in the French Alps.

Step into a world of colorful vintage cheer, cozy chalet charm, and a little holiday glamour. Sip your way through the evening with McGrail wines, raise a glass at our Champagne tower, and soak up the season surrounded by twinkling lights, tinsel, oversized ornaments, and nostalgic ski-lodge décor. Sing along with friends to your favorite holiday tunes, capture the moment at our festive photo backdrop, and settle in for an evening that feels like a holiday escape to the Alps – without leaving the Livermore Valley.

Tickets include a welcome glass of Gracie Sparkling, light bites, and entry to enjoy the Holiday Chalet.
