15th Annual Sunset Lobster Feed

Join us for an unforgettable evening at McGrail Vineyards as we celebrate our 15th Annual Lobster Feed, one of our most loved traditions. For over a decade, we’ve gathered around long tables, rolled up our sleeves, and shared fresh Maine lobster the way it’s meant to be enjoyed – with your hands, plenty of butter, great wine, & even better company!

We’ll be serving a communal, family-style feast featuring freshly harvested Maine lobster with all the classic fixings – prawns, sausage, corn on the cob, potatoes, crusty bread, and lots (and lots) of butter. Every bite is meant to be paired with our award-winning McGrail wines, crafted with care by our winemaking team.

As the sun sets over the vineyard, settle in under the stars, enjoy live music featuring a high-energy band playing your favorite hits – don’t be surprised if you find yourself up and dancing after dinner!

Wine Club Member Exclusive Event

Join us for an intimate celebration honoring the wine that started it all and the loyal members who have been part of the McGrail story for more than a decade.

We are proud to unveil the 2023 McGrail Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve, the 18th vintage of our signature wine.

When McGrail Vineyards opened in 2008, Jim McGrail had one goal: to craft an exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon before producing anything else. Our inaugural release, the 2005 McGrail Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve, became the foundation of the winery and began a tradition we are honored to continue today.

During this special seated experience, guests will enjoy a guided tasting of four Cabernet Sauvignons, featuring a treasured library vintage alongside our newest Reserve release. Each tasting will be accompanied by a thoughtfully selected cheese pairing.

Choose from one of two limited-capacity sessions:

Session One: 12:00–2:00 PM
Session Two: 3:00–5:00 PM

Spend the afternoon taking in vineyard views, reconnecting with fellow longtime members, and raising a delicious glass of Cabernet to the members who have supported McGrail throughout the years.

  • This event is exclusive to McGrail Wine Club Member and their guests.
  • Reservations are required, and seating for each session is limited.
  • Seating will be assigned for this event. If you have other Wine Club Members with confirmed reservations for your specific session that you would like to be seated with, please email Shelby@McGrailVineyards.com.  

Annual Wine Club Members receive two complimentary tickets per membership.
Additional tickets and tickets for all other McGrail Wine Club Members are $35 per person.

Sip & Script | Modern Calligraphy for Beginners
Tuesday, September 15th 5:30-7:00 PM
Join us at McGrail Vineyards in Livermore, CA for pretty lettering! Whether you’re a stationery nerd, DIY Bride-to-be, or just a crafty individual, you’ll be introduced to modern calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink in this workshop. We will cover all the basics and prepare you to add those unique lettered details to your snail mail, wedding paper goods, home decor, and more! The perfect crafty night out! Tickets include 1.5 hours of instruction and demonstration, our beginner’s calligraphy kit (two nibs, black ink pot, 2 letter guides, tracing paper, and straight pen holder), and all materials to write on. Everything is yours to keep at the end of the workshop! Feel free to arrive a little early, settle into your spot, and enjoy award-winning McGrail wines, available for purchase throughout the class. Wine will be offered by the glass and bottle so you can sip and savor at your own pace during the experience. You’re also welcome to bring your own snacks. Class will begin promptly at 5:30 PM! Class Expectations: Yes, lefties are welcome too! This class is encouraged for someone who has never taken a calligraphy class before. We teach the basics, and our expectation for you is to have ink flowing through your nib with enough confidence to be able to practice way beyond class. We love using tracing paper with our guides to help you build muscle memory and develop your own style!  If you have tried calligraphy out before, this class will be a great refresher and hopefully a chance to try some new supplies from our beginner kit that will re-introduce you to this lovely form of art! $75 per person McGrail wines will be available for purchase by the glass and bottle at the event!

The Killer Dueling Pianos Show
Thursday, September 17th 6:00-9:30PM
Get ready for a night of high-energy entertainment on the Vineyard Patio at McGrail with The Killer Dueling Pianos! Sing, dance, and laugh along as they take requests and play everything from Frank Sinatra and Elvis to Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga. Your ticket includes a glass of McGrail wine upon arrival, plus an unforgettable show! A local food truck will be on-site with delicious food for purchase, and outside food is welcome. Additional McGrail wines will be available by the glass and bottle for purchase. To ensure a seamless experience, we’ll be assigning tables for the event. If you’re attending with friends under separate reservations and would like to be seated together, please email our Winery Event Manager, Shelby, with your seating requests at shelby@mcgrailvineyards.com. Otherwise, get ready to meet new friends and enjoy a lively evening! Food Truck | Marty’s Joint Food Truck Guests must be 21 years or older. Join us for a relaxed family-friendly spring afternoon on the Front Lawn at McGrail Vineyards! Spread out on the grass, enjoy live music from our front lawn stage, and take in the beautiful Livermore Valley views. A local food truck will be on site with delicious food available for purchase. Bring the whole crew and spend the day sipping, savoring, and welcoming spring together. LIVE MUSIC | TBD FOOD TRUCK | California Inspirations Tickets to this event include first-come, first-serve space on our Front Lawn and live music to enjoy! Wine and food will be available for purchase. Outside food is welcome. Friday Night Live ft. Salvage Title

Join us for Friday Night Live at McGrail Vineyards! It’s a perfect evening of live music, great wine, & sunset views overlooking the beautiful Livermore Valley. Settle in on our Front Lawn as talented local musicians take the front lawn stage for a lively night in the vineyard.

Enjoy McGrail wines available for purchase by the glass or bottle, and grab a bite from rotating local food trucks offering delicious food for purchase throughout the evening. As the sun dips below the vines and the music fills the air, it’s the perfect way to unwind and start your weekend!

Tickets include entry to enjoy live music. Our Front Lawn is an open grass area and does not include tables, chairs, or shade, so we encourage guests to bring blankets and low-profile chairs to make themselves comfortable.

Dust off your cowboy boots, throw on your best western wear, and get ready for a high-energy evening under the stars at McGrail Vineyards!

Cowboys & Cabernet is back for an unforgettable night of line dancing, live country music, & good ole’ fashioned fun. Start the night off with a line dancing lesson from CC Amato and team from 6–7PM, then two-step your way into a live country performance from 7–10PM. Don’t worry, we’ll take a break mid-way for another quick dance lesson so you can keep showing off those new moves!

This complimentary event invites you to stroll through our festive vendor pop-ups, offering unique gifts and holiday finds from talented local artisans.

As you shop, relax with a glass or bottle of McGrail wine – available for purchase to enjoy as you take in the lively atmosphere. Whether you’re in the mood for a cozy glass of wine or a fun afternoon out, this event has something for everyone! We will be collecting Toys for Tots collection, so bring a new toy & receive a bonus splash of wine!

Soleil Wood Fired Pizza will be on-site serving up delicious pizza, so you can grab a bite while enjoying the holiday cheer. Rain or shine, we’ll be celebrating, so layer up and get ready for a fun weekend in the vineyards!
