2023 The Weston Red Blend
This regal wine is a tribute to the iconic Right Bank Bordeaux blend, marrying sophistication and depth with seamless elegance and complexity. On the nose, it reveals enticing aromas of toasted oak, earthy depth, and a medley of ripe red and black plums, luscious cherries, and a tantalizing hint of dried red currant. This wine delights the palate with flavors of vibrant red cherry, blackberry, and rich chocolate, intertwined with toasted caramel notes. Vineyard Notes: The 2023 Weston Red Blend is sourced entirely from our Lucky 8 Vineyard, located on the eastern edge of the Livermore Valley, just 1.5 miles from our Estate. This sustainably farmed site benefits from warm days and cooling afternoon breezes, allowing both Merlot and Cabernet Franc to develop expressive aromatics, balanced structure, and natural freshness. Planted at 6’ x 8’ spacing, the vineyard encourages moderate vine vigor and concentrated fruit, producing wines that are elegant, layered, and distinctly reflective of their Livermore Valley origins.
Winemaking Style: This red blend is 50% Merlot blended with 50% Cabernet Franc. This wine was barrel aged for 20 months in French oak and bottled July 30, 2025.
