Our 2021 Sláinte Red Blend is a blend of Touriga Nacional, Souzao, and Malbec from our Lucky 8 Vineyard on Tesla Road in Livermore.  Sláinte, which means “cheers to good health” in Gaelic, tends to be one of our favorite easy-drinking wines, with its balanced acidity and elegant body.  As you take your first sniff, a bold and masculine aroma of tobacco, coffee, and black pepper fills your nose. This wine has a lot of depth and complexity. As you take a sip, the Souzao kicks in with its acidity, giving a bright and lively feel to the palate. The super tart bing cherry on the palate adds a fruity balance to the boldness of the nose. The vanilla, one of the main notes in the blend, smoothly shines through with every sip.The finish is soft with light tannins, but the smoothness and long finish make it a perfect choice to savor and enjoy every moment. Pair this wine with Italian beef lasagna, beef chili, or a BBQ tri-tip.
